This is one African safari that is not all about wandering in an endless savannah. Expect the most unthinkable getaways during your Kenyan Safari. We can begin our Kenya Safari from the highest point and end at the sea level. Kilimanjaro is reachable during all months of the year, though October is the best month because of mild weather and less crowds. December to Match are warmest with clear skies, while June to August is cold. From there proceed westwards to Mount Kenya locally called 'Mount Kirinyaga'. The Britons unable to pronounce 'Kirinyaga' called it 'keenya', and hence its name. The Nelion and Batian peaks of Mount Kenya house the world's highest National Park. Trek the mountain slopes along Naro Moru route, Chogoria route, or Sirimoni track accompanied by a guide. Along the trek which takes 4/5 nights spend the nights in local huts or 'bandas'. Steaming tea or hot vegetable soup served after the trek tastes glorious. From the top of Mt. Kenya feast your eyes on the Great Rift Valley and the surrounding hilly landscape which is unbelievable. Drive along the Great Rift Valley in west Kenya to Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. At the Masai Mara Game Reserve spot the mammoth African elephant, black mane lion, cheetah, leopard, buffalos, and hoofed animals. Meet members of the Masai tribe who are feared by the lions.

You would reach Samburu National Park after driving thorough thorny landscapes and plantation fields. The long-necked Gerenuk and Grevy's Zebra are typical mammals of this semi-arid vegetation which would surprise you. These lanky herdsmen spot jump to be on the watch for lions.

It is difficult to believe that Kenya could be a beach destination. The luxuriant Serena Beach in Mombasa bordering the Indian Ocean is fantastic. Whether you sun bathe, scuba dive, or snorkel, the possibilities are endless in Mombasa Serena Beach. Enthusiastic anglers can go for deep sea fishing.
