Weather

Tanzania has a varied climate. The low-lying areas like Dar es Salaam have hot and humid weather. The weather in the areas like Arusha is hot during the daytime and cool at night. The country has two rainy seasons — the short one is from late October to late December and the long one is from March to May.

Transportation

Air: There are three major airports in Tanzania viz. Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Mount Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ) in Zanzibar. Flights are available from a range of destinations in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa. You can also move between the places within the country by flights.

Train: TAZARA is the train service between Tanzania and Zambia. Besides this, you can also travel to different destinations within the country like Kigoma, Mwanza, Tabora, Dodoma and Dar es Salaam etc. by train.

Bus: You can also reach Tanzania by bus from the places like Nairobi. Buses are also popular mode of transportation to move between places within the country. Some of the popular bus services can be named as Tawfiq Buses, Scandinavia and Royal Coach.
