Mount Kilimanjaro with its 3 volcanic cones, namely Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira, is the world's highest free standing, snow-covered equatorial mountain providing a majestic view of the surrounding plains. Images of the lofty snow-covered cone rising royally from fertile green foothills have become one of the most wonderful sights of Tanzania.
