- How to Reach: Whether you go by air or by boat, the port of entry for Boracay Island is the town of Caticlan on the mainland. The local airport, only a short boat ride from Boracay, is Caticlan which is served by several airlines. Apart from air access, you may reach Boracay by boat. Frequent boats, operated by MBRS, leave Manila’s port for Caticlan either once or twice a week, depending on the season. There are several boats operating daily between Roxas (Mindoro) and Caticlan (4-6h, 330P). Philtranco coaches operate regularly throughout the day from Cubao, Manila for Mindanao, passing Caticlan on the Strong Republic Nautical Highway and the journey will take around 12 hours.
