Saint Lucia is a Caribbean island nation that lies between the Caribbean Sea and North Atlantic Ocean. A part of the Lesser Antilles, Saint Lucia is located northwest of Barbados, south of Martinique and north and northeast to the islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Full of natural beauties, Saint Lucia has become a popular tourist destination in the Caribbean.

Weather

Saint Lucia has a tropical climate. The northeast trade winds make it moderate. January through April is the dry season, whereas, May through August is the time for rain. One can also experience hurricanes in this part of the world.

Transportation

Air: Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in Vieux-Fort and George F. L. Charles Airport (SLU) in Castries are the two airports of Saint Lucia. Though the first one is larger, the second one is located close to the most of the popular resorts. Flights are available from several destinations in US, Canada and England.

Boat: Ferries are popular mode of transportation for traveling to the neighboring islands.
