Croatia is a country with strong attachments and deep-rooted traditions. Croatia has always given preference to timeless traditions over trendy pleasures. The gleaming sea swishing round alcoves and washing the beaches is a magical sight. Croatian beach is extraordinarily beautiful, and its numerous islands are the targets of movie stars and celebrities for setting up exotic homes.

Croatia in Europe is a marvelous mix of the traditional with the trendy. Its Slavic culture has strong representations of Italian, Austro-Hungarian, and Venetian trends. Zagreb the capital city with its medieval period graciousness, Austro-Hungarian architecture, and vociferous beer pubs is a typical Croat city. Dalmatia on the Adriatic coast stands out with its ragged coastline and emerald like off shore islands. Old fishing ports and Roman ruins add to the classical appeal of this city. Solin Zadar near Dalmatia is renowned for its Roman archaeological excavations and marvelous churches. Plitvice Lakes National Park in the hills of western Croatia is the place for a memorable hike.

Pula is well-known for its Roman amphitheater where concerts are held often. Enjoying a performance in this historic amphitheater has a timeless appeal.

When to Visit Croatia

April to September is the best time to spend a vacation in Croatia. Zagreb Biennial of Contemporary Music is held in May and June. July and August are the most crowded months, while September is ideal for camping. Skiing in the hill slopes is popular from December to February.
