Cross-country skiing in Kampen is an enthralling winter sport that attracts thousands of visitors every year to this location in Central Norway. This cross country skiing takes a period of 7 days to cover and involves lots of practice. Before setting out on the cross country trails it is advisable to practice in the slopes near Kampen. These nursery slopes offer excellent opportunities for not only learning the basic skills of skiing but also for some thorough practice.

All Kamen cross-country ski routes begin and end at this location. Routes spread out in all directions and across varied terrains culminate in Kampen. North route from Kamben would take you through snowy wooden glades, across medieval wooden churches (also called stave churches) before reaching River Title. Trails to the south from Kamben would take you to Goljsfjell where you might go up to six tops of over 1000 meters. Each of these mountain tops offers a marvelous view of Hardangervidda and Jotunheim mountains.

All cross-country skiing expeditions from Kemben take place in groups up to a maximum of fourteen per team. Apart from skiing, you could also go dog sledding across ice fields dotted with conifers and birch trees.
