Cross-country skiing in Kamben is an enthralling winter sport which attracts thousands of visitors every year to this location in Central Norway. This cross country skiing takes a period of 7 days to cover and involves lots of practice. Before setting out on the cross country trails it is advisable to practice in the slopes near Kamben. All Kamben cross-country ski routes begin and end at this location. Routes spread out in all directions and across varied terrains culminate in Kamben. North route from Kamben would take you through snowy wooden glades, across medieval wooden churches (also called stave churches) before reaching River Tislei. Trails to the south from Kamben would take you to Goljsfjell where you might go up six tops of over 1000 meters. Each of these mountain tops offers marvelous view of Hardangervidda and Jotunheim mountains.

All cross-country skiing expeditions from Kemben take place in groups upto a maximum of fourteen per team. Apart from skiing, you could also go dog sledging across ice fields dotted with conifers and birch trees.
