It was two 12-year old boys who went to search their cricket ball and end up in discovering Crystal Cave. A wonder cave in Hamilton Parish, near Castle Harbor in Bermuda, Crystal Cave is undoubtedly the most famous attraction in Bermuda.

Things to Do

You will enter the cave through an entrance carved into the rock. You need to descend about 80 steps before you can enter into Crystal Caves, major attraction of which is an underground lake with crystal-clear water. There is a floating pontoon pathway on the lake that provides a crystal-clear view of the floor of the cave. Walk through the wooden pontoon to explore the cave. If you are fortunate enough, you may come to see the divers from the Ocean Discovery Centre who visit the place twice a year.

The Crystal Caves are full of illuminated stalagmites and stalactites that take million of years to form. You will see the formations resembling the Manhattan Skyline. There is Crystal's sister, called Fantasy Cave which is filled from top to bottom with formations. You will also find the rare chandelier cluster of soda straw formation there. The walls of the cave are covered in calcite mineral deposits.

If you feel a little bit hungry, there is 'Cafíé Ole' at the Cave where you will find snacks, drinks and light meals. There is also a gift shop called Fiddlestix.
