Weather
There are three major climate zones in Peru, viz. the tropical Amazon jungle to the east, the Andean mountains and the highlands in the middle and the arid coastal desert to the west. The Andean plateau remains dry during June through August and it remains wet during December through March. The rainforest is hot and humid and experiences rain all the time, except the months of June through September. Coastal areas are hot during December through March.
