Wien-Schwechat Airport, located 20 kilometers from the center of the city, is well-connected to the city center by the S-Bahn-line S7. Trains from western regions and from Hungary stop at the Westbahnhof, situated on the outer ring road. You will also get frequent buses which arrive at Vienna's main bus terminal beside Wien-Mitte.

- Riesenrad: Built in 1897 to celebrate the golden jubilee of Franz Josef I, it is the 2nd largest Ferris wheel in the world after London's “Eye”
- Schatzkammer: Housing the Hapsburgs' precious collection of jewels, crowns and other valuables, the Schatzkammer in the Neue Hofburg is an absolute must on tour of Vienna.
- Schonbrunn Palace: Built by the von Erlachs, the Baroque palace was the summer home for the Habsburgs.
- Spanish Riding School: Situated in the Vienna Imperial Palace, the school is the oldest institution dedicated to classic dressage.
- St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom): Dating back to the 12th century, this basilica is one of the finest specimens of Gothic architecture in Europe.
- Volksgarten: Built in 1820, it was designed to remind you of Luxembourg Garden of Paris. It is also known as “the People's Garden”.
